Qatar Institute for Speech and Hearing (QISH) represents the realization of a long-held dream by Mr. Niyas Kavungal, an Indian national and a dedicated Audiology Engineer.
With over a decade of experience in the field of rehabilitation, Mr. Niyas Kavungal envisioned creating a center that would provide essential services to individuals with speech and hearing challenges. His vision took shape with the support of a few like-minded expatriates who believed in his mission and offered the necessary financial backing. Together, they established QISH, which initially focused on providing Speech Therapy and Audiology services
As the demand for more specialized therapies grew, so did QISH. It expanded from a center that offered two primary services into a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary medical center. Today, QISH provides a wide array of services, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Special Education, Audiology, Speech Therapy, and a pre-school tailored for children with special needs.
Over the years, QISH has distinguished itself as a leader in the field of rehabilitation and therapy in Qatar. It is now recognized as the only multi-disciplinary medical center in the State of Qatar that is registered under the Ministry of Public Health, a testament to its commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs.
