Speech language pathologists at QISH provide the highest quality speech, language andcommunication services within a fun learning environment. In order to reach the fullestcommunicative potential of a child, we believe that it is important to work collaboratively withfamilies. We are competent to carry out comprehensive assessments, individual therapy sessionsand group therapy sessions for individuals with speech, language and communication disorders.
A comprehensive speech and language assessments includes standardized and informalmeasures to appropriately assess the oral mechanism, speech sound articulation, receptive andexpressive language (understanding language and expressing oneself at an age appropriate level)and fluency of speech in addition to voice disorders.
The therapeutic approaches vary depending upon the diagnosis of each individual. We are wellexperienced in carrying out Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Oral PlacementTherapy, listening training etc.
